FUROSHIKI SQUARE KNOT

Furoshiki square knot example

The square knot uses two corners of the furoshiki, which can simply be gathered in each hand.

But for an even neater effect when using an extra large furoshiki, fold the corner in on itself once or twice, just like you would if you were making a paper aeroplane (fold each side of the corner to the middle, and then repeat). This achieves neat, pointed straps of fabric just like in the photo above, which create a beautiful square knot!
